Sheunhay Chongtoua is a passionate and versatile Hmong American artist specializing in 3D graphics, animation, and visual storytelling. With a strong foundation in both traditional and digital media, she brings characters, environments, and narratives to life through emotionally driven and visually compelling work.

Deeply inspired by storytelling across a wide range of mediums—from games and books to live-action and animated films—she embraces narratives from diverse cultures around the world. She has discovered a special passion and excels in storyboarding and the more illustrative aspects of visual storytelling, bringing scenes to life with clarity and emotion. Additionally, she has valuable experience in concept art, 3D modeling, texturing, animation, and VFX, making her a versatile and well-rounded artist. She is known for maintaining a consistent artistic vision while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

She has contributed as a lead storyboard artist and multi-role team member on an award-nominated short film at the 2022 Student World Impact Film Festival (SWIFF), showcasing her ability to take creative ownership from pre- to post-production. Her strengths lie in adaptability, creative problem-solving, open communication, and dedication to high-quality work.

She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) with an emphasis in 3D Graphics and Animation from the University of Colorado Denver in 2022.

Outside of work, Sheunhay loves discovering new films, drawing and painting in her free time, and spending time with her dog, MayMay. She is currently seeking opportunities in storyboarding, animation, or visual development, where she can contribute her artistic voice, technical skills, and collaborative energy to compelling creative projects.
